Weber lifts Colorado Eagles over Cheyenne Stampede, 3-1

Levi Weber was all over the ice for Colorado Eagles, as he tallied two goals in Colorado Eagles' 3-1 win over Cheyenne Stampede.

Weber scored at 9:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Colorado Eagles and again while 11:11 into the third to make the score 3-1 Colorado Eagles.

Colorado Eagles was led by goalie Quinn Wold, who finished with 30 saves while allowing one goal. Wold certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.34 entering the contest.

Colorado Eagles' penalty kill excelled, as Colorado Eagles gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Colorado Eagles kept Cheyenne Stampede's goalie busy throughout the game, and Egor Riabchikov made 30 saves on 33 shots.

Riley Roberts also scored for Colorado Eagles. More assists for Colorado Eagles came via Nick Davidson, who had two and MacGregor Haddon and Brad Campbell, who contributed one each.

Cheyenne Stampede's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Colorado Eagles power plays. Cheyenne Stampede did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Cheyenne Stampede puts an average of 3.7 pucks into the net per game. Cheyenne Stampede forced Colorado Eagles goalie Wold to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Cheyenne Stampede was led by Nolan Kinney, who scored the team's only goal. Kinney scored on the power play 1:24 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Cheyenne Stampede had taken the advantage when Colorado Eagles' Campbell got sent off for tripping. Cody Key picked up the assist.

Colorado Eagles ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Cheyenne Stampede incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
