Seattle Totems downs Butte Cobras in overtime, 6-5 (OT)

August Cnattingius gave Seattle Totems a 6-5 (OT) victory over Butte Cobras when he scored 3:00 into the extra period.

Seattle Totems came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Seattle Totems fell behind 5-3 after a goal by Butte Cobras' Morgan Reiner at 17:29 in the third period. Seattle Totems knotted things up at 5-5 on a goal by Marek Nemec at 19:45 in the third period.

Seattle Totems' penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. Seattle Totems surpassed its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. Seattle Totems stifled Butte Cobras' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Seattle Totems forced Butte Cobras goalie Philip Babb to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Seattle Totems surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Seattle Totems averages 2.8 goals per game.

Seattle Totems also got points from Nemec, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Duncan Long also scored for Seattle Totems. More assists for Seattle Totems came via Nathan Carter, Axel Martensson, and Erik Danna, who each chipped in one and Lukas Vendis and Adam Alfoldy, who contributed two each.

Butte Cobras' offense rang up 42 shots on Seattle Totems' net.

Butte Cobras was led by Jacob Rudloff, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Rudloff scored 15:05 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Dzmitry Daniliuk picked up the assist. Butte Cobras additionally got points from Reiner, who also registered one goal and one assist and Daniliuk, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Butte Cobras also had goals scored by Anton Zimmer and Chadd Lounder, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Butte Cobras were Zach Steuck, who had two and Bogdan Shleev, Nick Wrobel, James Kilgore, and Logan Chavez, who each chipped in one.

Anton Vigre made 37 saves for Seattle Totems on 42 shots. Seattle Totems registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. For Seattle Totems, Nemec was ejected from the game. Babb rejected 25 shots on goal for Butte Cobras. Butte Cobras totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play. Butte Cobras ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Babb was ejected from the game.
