Carriere's big game bests Seattle Totems in 10-2 Southern Oregon Spartans win

Southern Oregon Spartans' Drew Carriere had a big offensive game, scoring four goals and contributing one assist in his team's 10-2 win over Seattle Totems.

Carriere got on the scoresheet 4:25 into the first period. He then added goals at 3:03 into the second, at 5:54 into the second, and at 17:55 into the second.

Seattle Totems was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Southern Oregon Spartans was able to score five times while on the power play.

Southern Oregon Spartans' penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 15 minors and one major for 35 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 31.0 minutes per game Southern Oregon Spartans had been spending in the box. Southern Oregon Spartans forced Seattle Totems' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, firing 45 shots and forcing 35 saves. Anton Vigre made 25 stops and Angus Campbell made 10. More assists for Southern Oregon Spartans came via Doug Gutierrez, who had two, Mackenzie Wood, who had five, and Liam Finn, Zach Lovelace, Marcus Miller, Brody Surette, and Denis Creighton, who each chipped in one.
