San Diego beats Long Beach Bombers 3-2 after comeback scare

Long Beach Bombers tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but San Diego held on for a 3-2 victory.

San Diego made the score 3-1 on a goal by Nurbek Baltayev at 18:04 in the third period, and Long Beach Bombers got as close as 3-2 when Patrik Johansson scored 18:39 into the third period.

San Diego was sparked by Baltayev, who grabbed one goal.

Others who scored for San Diego included Cameron Todd and Kastle Birch, who each put in one. More assists for San Diego came via Tyler Kubara, who had one and Will Parker, who had two.

Long Beach Bombers did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Long Beach Bombers averages 4.2 goals per game. Long Beach Bombers forced San Diego goalie Jokaim Jutras to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.
