Leslie's goals lift M3-Missouri State University to 5-2 victory over M3-Dordt College

Behind a great game by Shawn Leslie, who had two goals, M3-Missouri State University defeated M3-Dordt College, 5-2.

Leslie scored on the power play at 1:11 into the third period to make the score 2-2 and again while 2:55 into the third to make the score 3-2 M3-Missouri State University.

M3-Missouri State University stifled M3-Dordt College's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. With 60 shots on target during the contest, M3-Missouri State University exceeded the 2.3 shots it averages per game this year.

Michael Humme also scored for M3-Missouri State University. In addition, M3-Missouri State University received assists from Andrew Fuegner, Jacob Keller, and Mark Jones, who contributed one each and Ryan Gannon and Sarah Sabo, who each chipped in two.

M3-Dordt College kept M3-Missouri State University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Keith Parker made 33 saves on 35 shots. M3-Dordt College could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.

M3-Dordt College was helped by Aaron Ladzinski, who registered one goal. Ladzinski scored 4:26 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Dordt College. Thomas Soodsma provided the assist. M3-Dordt College also got a goal from Chase VanGaalen as well. More assists for M3-Dordt College came via Lucas Koomans and Levi Minderhoud, who contributed one each.

M3-Missouri State University incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Ross Van Gaalen rejected 55 shots on goal for M3-Dordt College. M3-Dordt College registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
