The M1 Villanova University Wildcats relied on the scoring touch of Jack Skaggs, who netted two goals, to beat the M1 Drexel University Dragons, 3-1.

Skaggs scored on the power play at 15:10 into the third period to make the score 1-1 and again while 19:27 into the third to make the score 3-1 M1 Villanova University.

M1 Villanova University was led by goalie Michael Harper, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Harper managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.89 prior to the game.

The Wildcats excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. M1 Villanova University's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. The Wildcats' offense was clicking better than usual and put 41 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.4 shots per game they average.
