Salt Lake City Moose falls to Casper Coyotes in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Casper Coyotes' Dmytro Babenko scored 4:50 into overtime to beat Salt Lake City Moose, 4-3 (OT).

Casper Coyotes was sparked by Babenko, who grabbed one goal.

Casper Coyotes stifled Salt Lake City Moose's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Casper Coyotes additionally got points from Jordan Klimovsky, who also had one goal and one assist, Erik Stenbacka, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Viktor Thim, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Casper Coyotes were Uvis Skrebels, who had two and Troy Saunders and Brady Griffin, who each chipped in one.

Salt Lake City Moose managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Salt Lake City Moose ended up below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game.

Salt Lake City Moose was helped by Devan Beck, who grabbed one goal. Beck scored 7:20 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Salt Lake City Moose also had goals scored by Brett Myer and Dan Veselovsky, who each put in one. In addition, Salt Lake City Moose received assists from Matthew Morse, Joe Barnes, and Filip Hedvall, who contributed one each.

Alexandre Lussier took the win and made 15 saves before being replaced by Rikard Landfeldt who made nine saves. Casper Coyotes incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Salt Lake City Moose's Brad Robertson stopped 24 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Salt Lake City Moose registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
