Casper Coyotes falls to Colorado Eagles in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Colorado Eagles pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over Casper Coyotes on a clutch goal by Levi Weber.

Although Colorado Eagles was up by as many as three goals in the second period, Casper Coyotes kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. Casper Coyotes pulled to within 3-2 on a goal by Jordan Klimovsky at 8:18 in the third period.

Colorado Eagles was sparked by Weber, who finished with one goal and one assist. Weber scored 3:31 into overtime to make the score 5-4 Colorado Eagles. Scott Smoot picked up the assist.

Colorado Eagles forced Casper Coyotes' netminders to work in net, getting 39 shots and forcing 34 saves. Alexandre Lussier made 30 stops and Christoph Mutschin made four. Colorado Eagles excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Colorado Eagles additionally got points from Smoot, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Colorado Eagles included Logan Libal, MacGregor Haddon, and Cade Warner, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Colorado Eagles were Tanner Ulland, who had two and RJ Haenze, Jackson Wallis, Nick Buchholtz, and Tyler Weber, who contributed one each.

Casper Coyotes forced Colorado Eagles goalie Quinn Wold to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Casper Coyotes was helped by Uvis Skrebels, who racked up one goal. Skrebels scored 11:42 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Troy Saunders assisted on the tally. Casper Coyotes also got points from Klimovsky, who also had one goal and one assist and Viktor Thim, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Erik Stenbacka also scored for Casper Coyotes. In addition, Casper Coyotes received assists from Brandyn Fogarty, who had one.

Quinn Wold made 34 saves for Colorado Eagles on 38 shots. Colorado Eagles incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Casper Coyotes incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
