Colorado Eagles falls to Casper Coyotes in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Casper Coyotes' Alex Rowland scored 1:05 into overtime to beat Colorado Eagles, 5-4 (OT).

Casper Coyotes was led by Rowland, who racked up one goal and one assist.

Casper Coyotes excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Colorado Eagles was unable to stop Casper Coyotes from sending pucks towards the net, and Casper Coyotes eventually piled up 58 shots on goal.

Casper Coyotes also got points from Erik Stenbacka, who also registered one goal and two assists, Viktor Thim, who also had one goal and two assists, and Kasper Elo, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Wyatt Stotts also scored for Casper Coyotes. In addition, Casper Coyotes received assists from Jordan Klimovsky and Dmytro Babenko, who contributed one each.

Colorado Eagles forced Casper Coyotes' goaltenders to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots and forcing 27 saves. Rikard Landfeldt made seven stops and Alexandre Lussier made 20. Colorado Eagles put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Casper Coyotes to score on any of its six power plays.

Colorado Eagles was led by Charlie Bidgood, who grabbed two goals. Bidgood scored the first of his two goals at 8:28 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Colorado Eagles. Bidgood's next tally made the score 4-3 Colorado Eagles with 15:58 left in the third period. RJ Haenze picked up the assist. Others who scored for Colorado Eagles included Tanner Ulland and Levi Weber, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Colorado Eagles were Brian Brink, Logan Libal, and Scott Smoot, who each chipped in one.

Casper Coyotes incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hunter Jackson rejected 53 shots on goal for Colorado Eagles. Colorado Eagles incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
