Las Vegas Storm squeaks by Ontario Avalanche, 4-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Las Vegas Storm escaped with a 4-3 victory over Ontario Avalanche.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Arrigo Burgener at 16:12 of the third period.

Las Vegas Storm's penalty kill excelled, as Las Vegas Storm gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Las Vegas Storm was led by Burgener, who registered one goal.

The defensemen of Las Vegas Storm were also effective in Ontario Avalanche's zone, and came away with two goals.

Las Vegas Storm additionally got points from Vincent Dekumbis, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Las Vegas Storm included Nikita Tsvetov and Jiri Ryyppo, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Las Vegas Storm were Quinn Travis, Beau Ricketts, and Gernot Wegerer, who contributed one each.

Ontario Avalanche forced Las Vegas Storm goalie Wegerer to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Ontario Avalanche was helped by Zechariah Roberts, who tallied one goal and one assist. Roberts scored on the power play 16:39 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Las Vegas Storm. Ontario Avalanche earned a power play opportunity when Nathan Fournier was put in the box for tripping. Michael Thomas picked up the assist. Ontario Avalanche also got points from Thomas, who also had one goal and one assist. Ontario Avalanche also got a goal from Nick Anderson as well.
