Landfeldt stymies Salt Lake City Moose, Casper Coyotes wins 4-1

Rikard Landfeldt stood on his head and made 29 saves to lead the Casper Coyotes Coyote to a 4-1 victory over Salt Lake City Moose.

Salt Lake City Moose's power play was ineffective against Casper Coyotes' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Coyote were led by Alex Rowland, who finished with one goal. Rowland scored 10:51 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Casper Coyotes. Danny Follmer assisted on the tally.

Casper Coyotes was often in penalty trouble, totaling nine minors and three majors for 43 minutes in penalty time. The Coyote had been averaging 18.0 minutes in penalties per game. Casper Coyotes excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances.

Casper Coyotes additionally got points from Dmytro Babenko, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Casper Coyotes also had goals scored by Brady Griffin and Erik Stenbacka, who each put in one. More assists for Casper Coyotes came via Kasper Elo, who had two and Viktor Thim and Luke Erickson, who each chipped in one.

Salt Lake City Moose forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up eight minors and three majors for 31 minutes in penalty time. Salt Lake City Moose surpassed its season average of 21.0 penalty minutes per game. Salt Lake City Moose did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Salt Lake City Moose puts an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game.

Salt Lake City Moose was led by Filip Hedvall, who scored the team's only goal. Hedvall scored 1:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Casper Coyotes. Zach Ahiers picked up the assist.

The Coyote registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Ryan Gasparovic rejected 24 shots on goal for Salt Lake City Moose.
