Stenbacka nets hat trick, leads Casper Coyotes to 7-0 win over Colorado Evolution

Erik Stenbacka netted a hat trick to lead the Casper Coyotes Coyote over Colorado Evolution, 7-0.

Stenbacka got on the scoresheet 3:19 into the second period. He then added goals at 11:29 into the second and at 13:19 into the second.

The game was close after the first frame, but Casper Coyotes banged in five goals during the second period to put the victory out of reach for Colorado Evolution.

The Coyote stifled Colorado Evolution's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Casper Coyotes' defensive play was more effective than usual against Colorado Evolution. The Coyote average 2.2 goals allowed per game. Casper Coyotes forced Colorado Evolution goalie Maksims Resetnikovs to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.
