Whitefish Wolverines blows out Seattle Totems, 7-2

Whitefish Wolverines had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-2 win over Seattle Totems.

Whitefish Wolverines got the win with help from a great game by Aleksei Garin, who had two goals and two assists. Garin scored the first of his two goals at 12:23 into the second period to make the score 5-0 Whitefish Wolverines. Garin's next tally made the score 6-1 Whitefish Wolverines with 16:01 left in the third period. Ian Wiens provided the assist.

Whitefish Wolverines forced Seattle Totems' goaltenders to work in net, ripping 43 shots and forcing 36 saves. Angus Campbell made 11 stops and Alek Lazarski made 25. Whitefish Wolverines excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Whitefish Wolverines' goal total was higher than its season average. Whitefish Wolverines averages 2.4 goals per game.

Whitefish Wolverines additionally got points from Danny Lochridge, who also had one goal and one assist, Kristian Evans, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Wiens, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Erik Danna picked up the assist. Seattle Totems also got a goal from Jerry Yang as well. Other players who recorded assists for Seattle Totems were August Cnattingius, who had one.
