Burgener leads Las Vegas Storm over Phoenix Knights, 6-3

Arrigo Burgener had two goals and two assists to lead Las Vegas Storm to a 6-3 victory over Phoenix Knights.

Burgener found the back of the net 5:33 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Las Vegas Storm and again while 7:19 into the third to make the score 5-2 Las Vegas Storm.

Las Vegas Storm excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Las Vegas Storm found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Las Vegas Storm averages 3.3 goals per game. Las Vegas Storm got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Las Vegas Storm additionally got points from Alkhas Kochkarev, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Las Vegas Storm included Moritz Matzka, Vincent Dekumbis, and Felix Brunner, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Las Vegas Storm were Kyle Pacheco and Beau Ricketts, who contributed two each.

Phoenix Knights forced Las Vegas Storm goalie Dennis Busch to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Phoenix Knights was helped by Braden Cooper, who tallied one goal. Cooper scored 12:06 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jordan Cullum picked up the assist. Phoenix Knights also got a goal from Brennan Johnsson as well. In addition, Phoenix Knights received assists from Brynton Macnab and Mitch Cobby, who each chipped in one.

Dennis Busch made 38 saves for Las Vegas Storm on 41 shots. Las Vegas Storm incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Luke Stripp rejected 22 shots on goal for Phoenix Knights. Phoenix Knights incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
