Casper Coyotes hangs on, beats Cheyenne Stampede 3-1

BRADY GRIFFIN scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and the Casper Coyotes Coyote held off the challenges of Cheyenne Stampede in a tough 3-1 win.

GRIFFIN provided Casper Coyotes with the game-winning tally when he scored 1:14 into the first period. ALEX ROWLAND picked up the assist.

The Coyote were led by goalie ALEXANDRE LUSSIER, who finished with 25 saves while allowing one goal. LUSSIER managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.4 prior to the game.

Casper Coyotes was led by ERIK STENBACKA, who tallied one goal. STENBACKA scored 13:01 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Casper Coyotes. VIKTOR THIM provided the assist.

The Coyote's offense rang up 43 shots on Cheyenne Stampede's net. The defensemen of Casper Coyotes were also effective in Cheyenne Stampede's zone, and came away with two goals.

Casper Coyotes also got a goal from AUSTIN PARRISH as well. In addition, Casper Coyotes received assists from KASPER ELO, who had one.

Cheyenne Stampede was led by Branko Oktavec, who scored the team's only goal. Oktavec scored 17:14 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Casper Coyotes. Heath Lantz picked up the assist.

The Coyote totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Corey Foster rejected 40 shots on goal for Cheyenne Stampede. Cheyenne Stampede totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
