Nemeth nets hat trick, leads Long Beach Bombers to 5-2 win over Valencia Flyers

Tomas Nemeth netted a hat trick to lead Long Beach Bombers over Valencia Flyers, 5-2.

Nemeth's first goal came 6:13 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:23 into the first and at 19:26 into the third.

Long Beach Bombers also got points from Johan Beatty, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Erik Sandgren also scored for Long Beach Bombers. In addition, Long Beach Bombers received assists from Patrik Johansson, who had two, Amir Burguev, who had three, and Mikyal Anas, Mason Siebe, Jack Kelly, and Michael Sjolin, who each chipped in one.

Valencia Flyers could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Valencia Flyers puts an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game. Valencia Flyers forced Long Beach Bombers goalie Bailey Ketola to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Valencia Flyers was helped by Johan Sorkin, who had one goal. Sorkin scored on the power play 16:41 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Long Beach Bombers. Valencia Flyers had taken the advantage when Long Beach Bombers' Jesse Simone got sent off for cross checking. Chase Thesman provided the assist. Valencia Flyers also got a goal from Niklas Giers as well. More assists for Valencia Flyers came via Jared Waldman, who had one and Ray Wilson, who had two.

Ketola recorded 36 saves for Long Beach Bombers. Long Beach Bombers totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Valencia Flyers' starting goalie, Sander Berg, made six saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Ole Nilsen, who stopped 13 shots. Valencia Flyers totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play.
