Salt Lake City Moose survives Colorado Evolution comeback, wins 6-4

Salt Lake City Moose survived a determined comeback attempt by Colorado Evolution on the way to a 6-4 win.

Salt Lake City Moose made the score 6-1 on a goal by Cole Corson at 4:49 in the third period, and Colorado Evolution got as close as 6-4 when Nikita Sokov scored 15:29 into the third period.

Devan Beck had two goals and one assist to lead Salt Lake City Moose. Beck scored the first of his two goals at 1:10 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Dmitry Kuznetsov provided the assist. Beck's next tally made the score 5-1 Salt Lake City Moose with 18:19 left in the third period. Salt Lake City Moose had taken the advantage when Colorado Evolution's Ruslan Zabulonov got sent off for interference. Jurijs Moiseicenko assisted on the tally.

Salt Lake City Moose stifled Colorado Evolution's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Salt Lake City Moose kept Colorado Evolution's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sergii Pysarenko made 36 saves on 42 shots.

Salt Lake City Moose additionally got points from Corson, who also had one goal and one assist and Dan Veselovsky, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Salt Lake City Moose included Brett Myer and Richard Mulligan, who each put in one. More assists for Salt Lake City Moose came via Jonathan Svensson, who had three and Charlie Granath, Evan Carter, and Dylan Canoy, who contributed one each.

Colorado Evolution's offense rang up 36 shots on Salt Lake City Moose's net. Colorado Evolution surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Colorado Evolution has scored at the pace of 1.9 goal per game during the current campaign.

Colorado Evolution also had goals scored by Nick Rems and Eli Hernandez, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Colorado Evolution were Kyle Lopes, who had one and Jon Dewerd, who had two.

Brad Robertson made 32 saves for Salt Lake City Moose on 36 shots. Salt Lake City Moose totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Colorado Evolution incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
