Valo leads Idaho Junior Steelheads over Seattle Totems, 13-1

Ondrej Valo was all over the ice for Idaho Junior Steelheads, as he tallied two goals and four assists in Idaho Junior Steelheads' 13-1 win over Seattle Totems.

Valo scored at 12:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Idaho Junior Steelheads and again while 17:15 into the second to make the score 9-1 Idaho Junior Steelheads.

Idaho Junior Steelheads forced Seattle Totems' goalies to work between the pipes, finishing with 62 shots and forcing 49 saves. Alec Lazarski made 25 stops and Anton Vigre made 24. Idaho Junior Steelheads stifled Seattle Totems' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Idaho Junior Steelheads bested its season scoring average. Idaho Junior Steelheads has scored at the pace of 7.4 goals per game during the current campaign.

Idaho Junior Steelheads additionally got points from Oleg Losev, who also registered one goal and five assists, Macky Power, who also had two goals and one assist, Elliot Lorraine, who also racked up one goal and three assists, and Alex Criswell, who also registered one goal and one assist. Victor Carlsson also scored for Idaho Junior Steelheads. In addition, Idaho Junior Steelheads received assists from Gunnar Merrick, Phil Fromberger, Hunter Lester, and Dimitris Jones, who contributed one each and Jack York and Kyle Williams, who each chipped in two.

Seattle Totems managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Seattle Totems finished below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game. Seattle Totems could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Seattle Totems puts an average of 3.8 pucks into the net per game.
