Wichita Jr. Thunder led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Wichita Jr. Thunder's Peter Cicmanec scored on the power play at 11:31 in the third period to put Wichita Jr. Thunder up 4-1.

Wichita Jr. Thunder got the win behind a great game by Chance Aquino, who had two goals and one assist. Aquino scored the first of his two goals at 41 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wichita Jr. Thunder. Ivan Brvenik assisted on the tally. Aquino's next tally made the score 5-3 Wichita Jr. Thunder with 29 seconds left in the third period. Patrik Janac picked up the assist.

Dallas Snipers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. Dallas Snipers was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to one goal off of nine man advantages.
