Colorado Eagles survives Casper Coyotes comeback, wins 4-2

Colorado Eagles survived a determined comeback attempt by the Casper Coyotes Coyote on the way to a 4-2 win.

A goal by Tyler Weber put Colorado Eagles up 4-1 in the second period, but Casper Coyotes pulled to within two on ERIK STENBACKA's tally 13:25 into the third period.

Colorado Eagles was sparked by Cade Warner, who registered one goal. Warner scored 13:40 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Colorado Eagles. Jackson Wallis assisted on the tally.

Colorado Eagles forced the Coyote's goalies to work all game long, taking 32 shots and forcing 28 saves. ALEXANDRE LUSSIER made 20 stops and CHRISTOPH MUTSCHIN made eight.

Others who scored for Colorado Eagles included Nick Buchholtz and Nick Davidson, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Colorado Eagles were Scott Smoot, who had two and Johnanthan Docherty, Tanner Ulland, and Keagan Jenkins, who each chipped in one.

Casper Coyotes' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Colorado Eagles power plays.

The Coyote were led by KASPER ELO, who finished with one goal and one assist. ELO scored 7:21 into the second period to make the score 1-1. MACK STEVENS picked up the assist.

Breandan Colgan made 26 saves for Colorado Eagles on 28 shots. Colorado Eagles ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Casper Coyotes totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play.
