Colorado RoughRiders erases deficit to stun Casper Coyotes, 3-2

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, Colorado RoughRiders battled back to claim a 3-2 victory over the Casper Coyotes Coyote.

Colorado RoughRiders never led in the game until netting the game winner. Colorado RoughRiders fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Casper Coyotes' EETU TIKKANEN at 10:52 in the second period. Colorado RoughRiders tied things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Hunter Behrens at 16:10 in the second period. Colorado RoughRiders scored the game winner at 15:18 in the third period on a goal by Behrens.

Behrens was all over the ice for Colorado RoughRiders, as he registered two goals in the win.

Colorado RoughRiders forced the Coyote's netminders to work without much rest, racking up 45 shots and forcing 42 saves. CHRISTOPH MUTSCHIN made 15 stops and ALEXANDRE LUSSIER made 27. Colorado RoughRiders' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Casper Coyotes power plays.

Gian Cervo also scored for Colorado RoughRiders. Other players who recorded assists for Colorado RoughRiders were Nick Kuhn, who had two and Charles Joly, Tanner West, Blake Couture, and Sage Dugas, who each chipped in one.

Casper Coyotes was often in penalty trouble, as it ended with 10 minors and one major for 35 minutes in penalty time.

The Coyote were helped by TONI HAIKARAINEN, who tallied one goal. HAIKARAINEN scored 6:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Casper Coyotes. KASPER ELO provided the assist. In addition, Casper Coyotes received assists from ALEX ROWLAND and WYATT STOTTS, who contributed one each.

Kirill Pustovalov made 22 saves for Colorado RoughRiders on 24 shots. Colorado RoughRiders incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Casper Coyotes ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and HAIKARAINEN was ejected from the game.
