Marco De Filippo recorded a shutout against the Knoxville Ice Bears as the Louisiana IceGators picked up a 5-0 win.

Louisiana was paced by Brian Berger, who had one goal and one assist. Berger scored 9:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Louisiana.

With 28 shots on target during the contest, the IceGators exceeded the 18.6 shots they average per game this year.

Louisiana also got points from Jake Hauswirth, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Louisiana also had goals scored by Shawn McNeil, Benjamin Rubin, and Adam Stuart, who each put in one. More assists for Louisiana came via Brad Denney, Matt Viola, and Jeremy Boyer, who contributed one each.

Knoxville could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Ice Bears average 2.9 goals per game. Knoxville put 26 shots on net during the contest, more than the 19.4 it averages per game.

The Ice Bears were led by Brett Valliquette, who took four shots.

Marco De Filippo made 26 saves for Louisiana on 26 shots. The IceGators incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Curtis Martinu rejected 23 shots on goal for Knoxville. The Ice Bears totaled 31 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For Knoxville, Valliquette was ejected from the game.
