Benjamin Rubin finished with one point to lead the Louisiana IceGators to a 5-2 victory over the Huntsville Havoc.

Louisiana put 32 shots on net during the contest, more than the 20.5 it averages per game.

Louisiana also got points from Shawn McNeil, who also registered one goal and one assist. Adam Stuart also scored for Louisiana. More assists for Louisiana came via Matt Viola, Jake Hauswirth, and Jeremy Boyer, who contributed one each and Chris Wilson and Kirk Byczynski, who each chipped in two.

Huntsville was helped by Luke Greiner, who grabbed one goal. Greiner scored 13:57 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Colin Hekle picked up the assist. Huntsville also got a goal from Stuart Stefan as well. In addition, Huntsville received assists from Justin Cseter, Ray Ortiz, and Jacob Johnstone, who contributed one each.

Marco De Filippo made 21 saves for the IceGators on 23 shots. Louisiana incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Kevin Genoe rejected 27 shots on goal for the Havoc. Huntsville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
