Raven leads Peoria over Mississippi RiverKings, 3-1

Ryan Raven had one goal and two assists to lead the Peoria Rivermen to a 3-1 victory over Mississippi RiverKings.

Raven got on the board by slotting home a goal 16:34 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Peoria. Josh Harris picked up the assist. Raven dished an assist on Mike Gurtler's goal that made the score 1-0 Peoria at 10:49 into the second period. He added another helper on Harris' goal that made the score 2-1 Peoria at 4:40 into the third period.

Peoria kept Mississippi RiverKings' goalie busy throughout the game, and Peter Di Salvo made 38 saves on 41 shots.

Peoria additionally got points from Harris, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Peoria came via Cole Ruwe and Ben Oskroba, who contributed one each.

Mississippi RiverKings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Peoria power plays. Mississippi RiverKings failed to reach its usual level of shot production, putting 15 pucks on goal after averaging 28.2 shots per game this season.

Mississippi RiverKings was led by Leo Thomas, who scored the team's only goal. Thomas scored on the power play 17:30 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Mississippi RiverKings had gotten the advantage when the Rivermen's Richie Zobak was sent off for boarding. Andrew Randazzo provided the assist.

Kyle Rank recorded 14 saves for Peoria. The Rivermen incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Mississippi RiverKings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
