The Pensacola Ice Flyers were firing on all cylinders against the Knoxville Ice Bears, and when the final buzzer sounded Ice Flyers emerged with a 3-0 win.

Pensacola was led by Nick Larson, who grabbed one goal. Larson scored 51 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pensacola. Brett Lutes picked up the assist.

The Ice Flyers stifled Knoxville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pensacola's defense was surprisingly good. The Ice Flyers average 2.6 goals allowed per game. Pensacola relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Brett Beebe, Adam Pawlick and Larson took 27 of the team's 52 shots.

Pensacola also got points from Jon Puskar, who also had one goal and one assist and Beebe, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Pensacola came via Zach Josepher and Max Strang, who contributed one each.

The Ice Bears did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Knoxville puts an average of 3.0 pucks into the net per game.

The Ice Bears were led by Berkley Scott, who took four shots.

Strang recorded 22 saves for the Ice Flyers. Pensacola totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Bryan Hince rejected 49 shots on goal for Knoxville. The Ice Bears totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play.
