Pensacola rolls over Knoxville, 3-0Pensacola Bay Center Sun, Feb 08, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Pensacola Ice Flyers were firing on all cylinders against the Knoxville Ice Bears, and when the final buzzer sounded Ice Flyers emerged with a 3-0 win. Pensacola was led by Nick Larson, who grabbed one goal. Larson scored 51 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pensacola. Brett Lutes picked up the assist. The Ice Flyers stifled Knoxville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pensacola's defense was surprisingly good. The Ice Flyers average 2.6 goals allowed per game. Pensacola relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Brett Beebe, Adam Pawlick and Larson took 27 of the team's 52 shots. Pensacola also got points from Jon Puskar, who also had one goal and one assist and Beebe, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
