Mississippi RiverKings wins tough contest against Pensacola, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Mississippi RiverKings escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Pensacola Ice Flyers.

Mississippi RiverKings gained the winning advantage on a goal by Devin Mantha 4:34 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Mississippi RiverKings was led by Mantha, who tallied one goal and one assist.

Others who scored for Mississippi RiverKings included Daniel Sobotka and Joseph Holka, who scored one goal each. In addition, Mississippi RiverKings received assists from Reid Campbell, Linden Bahm, Mike Hayward, Matt Whitehead, and Andrew Randazzo, who each chipped in one.

Pensacola was helped by Nick McParland, who had one goal. McParland scored 1:31 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Nick Larson assisted on the tally. Brett Lutes also scored for Pensacola. Other players who recorded assists for Pensacola were Zach Josepher, Jon Puskar, and Brett Beebe, who contributed one each.
