Matt Summers tallied two points to lead the Peoria Rivermen to a 4-1 victory over the Huntsville Havoc. Peoria stifled Huntsville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rivermen put 31 shots on net during the contest, more than the 27.9 they average per game. Peoria also got points from Jordan Sims, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Peoria included Ben Oskroba and Alec Hagaman, who scored one goal each. In addition, Peoria received assists from Dan Bremner, who had two and Josh Harris, Garrett Vermeersch, and Alex Hudson, who each chipped in one. The Havoc's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled eight minors and one major for 31 minutes in penalty time. Huntsville surpassed its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. The Havoc average 27.5 shots on goal per game, but only sent 20 pucks on net against Peoria. Huntsville was led by Matt Viola, who scored the team's only goal. Viola scored 11:30 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Peoria. Harry Mahesh picked up the assist. Kyle Rank rejected 19 shots on goal for the Rivermen. Peoria totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-7 on the power play. Jesse Kallechy made 27 saves for the Havoc on 31 shots. Huntsville registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
