Peoria downs Louisiana in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Jake Trask gave the Peoria Rivermen a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Louisiana IceGators when he scored 3:10 into the extra period.

Peoria was sparked by Trask, who grabbed one goal.

The Rivermen stifled Louisiana's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The 36 shots that Peoria put on net surpassed the Rivermen's average of 28.2 shots per game this season.

Peoria also had goals scored by Christian Weidauer, Garrett Vermeersch, and Alec Hagaman, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Nick Schneider, who had two and Steve Morra, Matt Summers, Jordan Sims, and Jason Cohen, who each chipped in one.

The IceGators put 22 shots on net during the contest, more than the 18.9 they average per game.

Louisiana was helped by Jeremy Boyer, who had one goal. Boyer scored 16:19 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Jake Hauswirth picked up the assist. Louisiana also got points from Hauswirth, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Louisiana also got a goal from Chris Wilson as well. In addition, Louisiana received assists from Tanner Burton, who had one and Benjamin Rubin, who had two.

Kyle Rank recorded 19 saves for Peoria. The Rivermen incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Matt Zenzola made 32 saves for the IceGators on 36 shots. Louisiana incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
