The Peoria Rivermen, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by the Knoxville Ice Bears and clinched a 6-4 victory. Peoria led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Rivermen's Jake Trask scored on the power play at 17:55 in the second period to put Peoria up 5-2. The Rivermen got the win behind a great game by Jordan Sims, who had one goal and two assists. Sims scored 3:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Peoria. Matt Summers picked up the assist. Peoria surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Rivermen average 3.0 goals per game. By firing 42 shots on goal, Peoria exceeded the 28.8 shots it averages per game this year.
