The Knoxville Ice Bears took the lead against the Pensacola Ice Flyers in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 3-1 victory. Knoxville took over the lead for good with a goal by Berkley Scott at 2:24 in the first period. Jake Johnson assisted on the tally.The Ice Bears were led by goalie Braely Torris, who finished with 39 saves while allowing one goal. Torris certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.83 entering the contest. Knoxville was led by Christian Weidauer, who tallied one goal.
