Knoxville downs Huntsville in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Knoxville Ice Bears pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Huntsville Havoc on a clutch goal by Josh Cousineau.

Huntsville was stymied by Knoxville's netminder Braely Torris, who stopped 42 shots during the victory. Torris certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.83 entering the contest.

The Ice Bears were led by Cousineau, who grabbed one goal. Cousineau scored 1:14 into overtime to make the score 2-1 Knoxville. Eric Satim assisted on the tally.

Knoxville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Ice Bears put 24 shots on net during the contest, more than the 19.7 they average per game.

Jarrett Rush also scored for Knoxville. In addition, Knoxville received assists from Robbie Donahoe, Jake Johnson, and Jason Price, who each chipped in one.

The Havoc's offense rang up 43 shots on Knoxville's net.

Huntsville was led by Matt Viola, who scored the team's only goal. Viola scored 13:22 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Huntsville. Corey Bellamy picked up the assist.

The Ice Bears incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jesse Kallechy recorded 22 saves for the Havoc. Huntsville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
