In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Knoxville Ice Bears escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Huntsville Havoc. Knoxville gained the winning advantage on a goal by Lucas Van Natter 5:26 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Ice Bears were led by Van Natter, who had one goal. Knoxville's offense was clicking better than usual and put 36 shots on goal during the game, better than the 19.6 shots per game it averages. Others who scored for Knoxville included Berkley Scott and Peter Neal, who scored one goal each.
