The Pensacola Ice Flyers beat Mississippi RiverKings, 3-2, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. Pensacola took over the lead for good with a goal by Drew Baker at 10:38 in the first period. A slashing penalty on Andrew Randazzo had put the Ice Flyers on the power play.
