Louisiana erases deficit to stun Huntsville, 4-3

The Louisiana IceGators climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Huntsville Havoc, 4-3.

Louisiana never led in the game until netting the game winner. The IceGators trailed 2-0 after a power play goal by Huntsville's Nick Lazorko at 10:34 in the first period. Louisiana tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Adam Stuart at 6:50 in the third period. The IceGators netted the game winner at 17:22 in the third period on a goal by Stuart.

Louisiana got the win on the strength of a great game by Stuart, who had one goal and two assists.

The IceGators cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

Louisiana also got points from Benjamin Rubin, who also registered one goal and one assist and Chris Wilson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Louisiana also got a goal from Shawn McNeil as well. In addition, Louisiana received assists from Shawn Skelly, Matt Viola, Tanner Burton, and Mike MacIntyre, who contributed one each.

The Havoc forced Louisiana goalie Marco De Filippo to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Justin Cseter also scored for Huntsville. Other players who recorded assists for Huntsville were Scott Harff, Nick Wheeler, and Jordan Foreman, who each chipped in one.

De Filippo recorded 30 saves for the IceGators. Louisiana incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jesse Kallechy made 18 saves for Huntsville on 22 shots. The Havoc incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with two minors. For Huntsville, Corey Bellamy was ejected from the game.
