Knoxville vanquishes Huntsville in shootout, 3-2 (3-2 SO)

Eric Satim scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and the Knoxville Ice Bears picked up the extra point in a 3-2 (3-2 SO) win over the Huntsville Havoc.

The shootout featured 10 attempts between both teams. Huntsville got shootout goals from Colin Hekle and Stuart Stefan. In addition to the clincher, Knoxville got shootout goals from Berkley Scott and Travis Janke.

The Ice Bears overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Knoxville trailed 2-1 after a goal by the Havoc's Eric Alexander at 14:50 in the first period. The Ice Bears tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Satim at 13:14 in the second period.

Satim had one goal and one assist to lead Knoxville.

The Ice Bears were led by Satim, who finished with one goal and one assist. Knoxville also got a goal from Ryan Salvis as well. Other players who recorded assists for Knoxville were Francis Drolet, who had one.

More assists for Huntsville came via Nick Lazorko, who had one.

Bryan Hince recorded 24 saves for Knoxville. The Ice Bears totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Kevin Genoe made 26 saves for Huntsville on 28 shots. The Havoc totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
