Louisiana uses early goal to top Mississippi RiverKings, 1-0

The Louisiana IceGators took the lead against Mississippi RiverKings in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 1-0 victory.

A goal 18:47 into the first period by Clark Byczynski proved to be the game winner, and powered Louisiana to the victory. Adam Stuart picked up the assist.

The IceGators were boosted by Andrew Flemming, who turned in a shutout with 39 saves. The solid play of Flemming will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.59.

Louisiana was led by Byczynski, who tallied one goal.
