Mississippi RiverKings falls to Knoxville in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Josh Cousineau gave the Knoxville Ice Bears a 3-2 (OT) victory over Mississippi RiverKings when he scored 4:08 into the extra period.

Knoxville was sparked by Cousineau, who grabbed one goal.

Mississippi RiverKings was unable to stop the Ice Bears from sending pucks towards the net, and Knoxville eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Others who scored for Knoxville included Peter Neal and Eric Satim, who scored one goal each. In addition, Knoxville received assists from Ryan Salvis, who had two and Vince Perreault, Joe Tolles, Francis Drolet, and David Segal, who contributed one each.

With 31 shots on target during the contest, Mississippi RiverKings exceeded the 27.1 shots it averages per game this year.

Mississippi RiverKings was helped by Andrew Randazzo, who had one goal. Randazzo scored on the power play 9:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mississippi RiverKings. Mississippi RiverKings had gotten the advantage when the Ice Bears' Justin Kirsch was sent off for too many men. Leo Thomas picked up the assist. Mississippi RiverKings also got a goal from Burke Gallimore as well. More assists for Mississippi RiverKings came via Reid Campbell, Mike Grace, and Sean Jones, who each chipped in one.

Braely Torris rejected 29 shots on goal for Knoxville. The Ice Bears totaled 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two majors and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Mississippi RiverKings' Adam Courchaine stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. Mississippi RiverKings totaled 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
