De Filippo leads Louisiana to shutout victory over Mississippi RiverKings

Marco De Filippo made 26 saves to complete the shutout and led the Louisiana IceGators to a 3-0 win against Mississippi RiverKings.

Louisiana was sparked by Bret Peppler, who tallied one goal. Peppler scored 7:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Louisiana. Shawn McNeil assisted on the tally.

The IceGators avoided man-down situations well, registering one major for five minutes in penalty time. Louisiana finished below its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game. With 28 shots on target during the contest, the IceGators exceeded the 18.4 shots they average per game this year.

Others who scored for Louisiana included Jake Hauswirth and Chris Wilson, who each put in one. In addition, Louisiana received assists from Tyler Klein, Jeremy Boyer, Geordie Wudrick, Adam Stuart, and Mitchell Stretch, who contributed one each.
