The Knoxville Ice Bears had trouble finding ways to stop the Peoria Rivermen, which beat Ice Bears, 5-1. Peoria's penalty kill excelled, as the Rivermen gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. Peoria was led by Alex Hudson, who finished with one goal and one assist. Hudson scored 13:37 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Peoria. Michael Slowikowski assisted on the tally. The Rivermen stifled Knoxville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Peoria outdid its season average for goals scored. The Rivermen average 2.8 goals per game.
