Huge game by Cox boosts Perth Thunder over Sydney Ice Dogs, 8-2

Andrew Cox had one goal and three assists to lead Perth Thunder to an 8-2 victory over Sydney Ice Dogs.

Cox beat Timothy Noting with a shot 12:45 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Perth Thunder. Jordan Kyros picked up the assist. Cox dished an assist on Kyros' goal that made the score 2-0 Perth Thunder at 9:47 into the first period. He then added assists on Kyros' goal at 8:46 into the third and on Kyros' goal at 19:51 into the third.

Perth Thunder's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, Perth Thunder averages 3.1 goals per contest. With 36 shots on target during the contest, Perth Thunder exceeded the 2.8 shots it averages per game this year.
