Port Hope pulls away in second, rolls over Deseronto, 7-0

The Deseronto Storm allowed the Port Hope Panthers to net four goals during the second period and fell, 7-0.

#$self.jersey spearheaded the defensive effort for Port Hope, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 25 saves for the shutout.

Cameron Lowery had a great game for the Panthers, netting two goals. Lowery scored at 16:20 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Port Hope and again while 3:47 into the third to make the score 6-0 Port Hope.

Port Hope's defensive play was more effective than usual against Deseronto. The Panthers allow 2.3 goals per game. Port Hope forced the Storm goalie Aaron Young to work between the pipes, taking 102 shots.

Hunter Baker also scored for Port Hope. In addition, Port Hope received assists from Jacob Spicer, Rory Milne, and Nathan Snoek, who each chipped in one and Liam Rowe and Chays Ruddy, who contributed two each.

The Panthers ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. Young recorded 95 saves for Deseronto. The Storm avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
