Shawn Mackie was all over the ice for the Port Hope Panthers, as he tallied two goals in Port Hope's 4-1 win over the Amherstview Jets.

The Panthers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Amherstview was unable to stop Port Hope from sending pucks towards the net, and the Panthers eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Others who scored for Port Hope included Josh Cameron and Kallen McFarland, who scored one goal each. More assists for Port Hope came via Dan Lagrois, who had two and Connor Turland, Hunter Baker, Matthew Hunt, Rory Milne, and Chandler Gillespie, who contributed one each.

The Jets' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Port Hope power plays. Amherstview's offense operated below its season average. The Jets put an average of 3.7 pucks into the net per game.

Amherstview was led by Ben Bianco, who scored the team's only goal. Bianco scored 11:28 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Port Hope. Mike McKitrick provided the assist.
