Lowery leads Port Hope over Campbellford, 4-1

Behind a great game by Cameron Lowery, who had two goals and one assist, the Port Hope Panthers defeated the Campbellford Rebels, 4-1.

Lowery found the back of the net on the power play 5:40 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Port Hope and again while on the power play 13:06 into the third to make the score 4-1 Port Hope.

Port Hope kept Campbellford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Cole Mahoney made 35 saves on 39 shots. The Panthers did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with a minimal one minor for 22 minutes in penalty time.

Port Hope also got points from Dylan Baxter, who also registered one goal and one assist. Port Hope also got a goal from Jacob Spicer as well. More assists for Port Hope came via Matthew Hunt, Rory Milne, Chays Ruddy, Kallen McFarland, and Mike Smith, who each chipped in one.

The Rebels' offense operated below their season average. Campbellford puts an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game.

The Rebels were led by Josh Leavey, who scored the team's only goal. Leavey scored 1:44 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Campbellford. Ethan McDougall provided the assist.

Branson Schell recorded 24 saves for Port Hope. The Panthers registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Campbellford incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
