Boulard's hat trick boosts Napanee over Deseronto, 12-0

Austin Boulard netted a hat trick to lead the Napanee Raiders over the Deseronto Storm, 12-0.

Boulard got on the scoresheet 1:36 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:34 into the first and at 17:01 into the third.

Napanee gained an early advantage, leading 4-0 by the end of the first period.

The Raiders' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Deseronto power plays. Napanee's offense rang up 93 shots on Deseronto's net. The Raiders found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Napanee has scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of the Raiders were also effective in the Storm's zone, and came away with two goals.

Napanee also got points from Aidan Girduckis, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Michael Parr, who also registered one goal and one assist, Brodie Butt, who also had one goal and two assists, Keenan Murray, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Brandon Nadeau, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Cullen Hinds, who also grabbed three goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Napanee also got a goal from Zach Knapp-Hermer as well. In addition, Napanee received assists from Josh St.Peter, Riley Steeves, Troy Wylie, and Tomo Mikuljan, who each chipped in one and Jordan Cannons and Josh Murphy, who contributed three each.

Deseronto excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Storm's offense operated below their season average. Deseronto puts an average of 2.1 pucks into the net per game.

Mikuljan recorded 19 saves for Napanee. The Raiders incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Storm's Aaron Young stopped 81 shots out of the 93 that he faced. Deseronto ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. For the Storm, Tryston Teichman was ejected from the game.
