Campbellford downs Deseronto, 6-3

Jacob Bennett registered one point to lead the Campbellford Rebels to a 6-3 victory over the Deseronto Storm.

Campbellford forced Deseronto goalie Matt Loveys to work between the pipes, taking 56 shots. The Rebels bested their season scoring average. Campbellford averages 3.3 goals per game. Team could not crack the Storm's penalty kill and was held to one power play goal while having 10 opportunities to play with the man advantage.

Campbellford also got points from Colin Doyle, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Jon Samis, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Campbellford included Etinene Pelleteir and Jeremiah Doherty, who each put in one. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Austin Fry, Koel Newton, William Lameroux, and Andrew Doxtator, who each chipped in one.

Deseronto could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Storm were helped by Brodie Maracle, who racked up one goal. Maracle scored 8:20 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Deseronto. Jeff Hoey assisted on the tally. Deseronto additionally got points from Hoey, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Johnny Maracle also scored for Deseronto. More assists for Deseronto came via Jordon Guindon and Brett Bateman, who contributed one each.

The Rebels' Cole Mahoney stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Campbellford incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Rebels ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Josh Hodge was ejected from the game. Matt Loveys made 50 saves for Deseronto on 56 shots. The Storm registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
