Amherstview falls to Campbellford in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Colin Doyle gave the Campbellford Rebels a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Amherstview Jets when he scored 2:40 into the extra period.

Campbellford came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Rebels fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Amherstview's Ben Bianco at 17:53 in the first period. Campbellford knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Andrew Doxtator at 17:19 in the second period.

Doyle was all over the ice for the Rebels, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win.

Campbellford excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Rebels forced the Jets goalie Ryan Kaszuba to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Campbellford also got a goal from Jeremiah Doherty as well. More assists for Campbellford came via Cole Hamilton, who had one and Jon Samis, who had two.

Amherstview's offense rang up 35 shots on Campbellford's net.

Mike McKitrick also scored for Amherstview. In addition, Amherstview received assists from Konner Burtenshaw, Adam Alcorn, Zach Masterson, and Dorian Overland, who contributed one each.

Cole Mahoney recorded 33 saves for the Rebels. Campbellford incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Jets' Kaszuba stopped 33 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Amherstview incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
