A hat trick by Phil Smith was the highlight in Pirates' 5-3 win against the Napanee Raiders. Smith notched his first tally 29 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 11:09 into the second and at 19:59 into the third.Napanee's power play was ineffective against the Picton Pirates' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Picton forced the Raiders goalie Tomo Mikuljan to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. The Pirates cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances. Picton also got points from Chris Jones, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Picton also got a goal from Brian Bunnett as well. Other players who recorded assists for Napanee were Adam Bennett, Brodie Butt, Christian Antoski, and Austin Boulard, who each chipped in one. Brock Tufts recorded 27 saves for the Pirates. Picton incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Pirates ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jordon Guindon was ejected from the game. Napanee's Mikuljan stopped 27 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Raiders incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
