Essex downs Wheatley, 5-2

Brad Carroll grabbed one point to lead the Essex 73s to a 5-2 victory over the Wheatley Sharks.
Essex stifled Wheatley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Sharks were unable to stop the 73s from sending pucks towards the net, and Essex eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.
Essex additionally got points from Jordan Ryan, who also registered one goal and one assist and Daniel McIntyre, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Essex included William Stadder and Tyler Scott, who each put in one. In addition, Essex received assists from Adam Gaiarin, Alex Derksen, Eric Shaw, Matthew Hebert, and Tyler Turner, who contributed one each.
Wheatley was helped by Frankie Ciacelli, who tallied one goal. Ciacelli scored 14:03 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Essex. Wheatley also got a goal from Jimmy Ciacelli as well.
