The Amherstburg Admirals used a four-goal second period to put away the Lakeshore Canadiens, 7-1.

Mark Gangnon had two goals and two assists to lead Amherstburg. Gangnon scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 3:27 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Amherstburg. A high sticking penalty on Zack Bedard had put the Admirals on the power play. James Brooks assisted on the tally. Gangnon's next tally on the power play made the score 6-1 Amherstburg with 11:21 left in the third period. Blake Rutckyj provided the assist.

Amherstburg's Arren Romeril was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 27 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Romeril will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.44.

The Canadiens did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Lakeshore puts an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game. The Canadiens managed to hold Amherstburg's power play largely in check, allowing only one goal while on the disadvantage.

Lakeshore was led by Colin Sartor, who scored the team's only goal. Sartor scored 1:25 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Luke Sanko picked up the assist.
