Blenheim falls to Lakeshore in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Lakeshore Canadiens' Brenden Crundwell scored 2:39 into overtime to beat the Blenheim Blades, 4-3 (OT).

 

Lakeshore came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Canadiens trailed 3-1 after a goal by Blenheim's Dylan Smith at 1:18 in the third period. Lakeshore knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Liam MacDougall at 11:02 in the third period.

The Canadiens were led by Crundwell, who grabbed one goal.

Lakeshore's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Blenheim power plays. The Blades were unable to stop the Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Lakeshore eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Lakeshore also got points from MacDougall, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Michael Long, who also registered one goal and one assist. Mejoe Gasparovic also scored for Lakeshore. Other players who recorded assists for Lakeshore were Dylan Kolic, who had two and Hunter Corp, Aaron Moore, and Luke Sanko, who contributed one each.

Blenheim additionally got points from Doug Ross, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Blenheim received assists from Hunter Burk, who had two and Lucas Hickey and Tyler Boughner, who each chipped in one.

John Jeffries rejected 15 shots on goal for the Canadiens. Lakeshore incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Klinton Kenney recorded 31 saves for Blenheim. The Blades incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
